Who is 1st Green Energy?
1st Green Home is a Maryland-based energy efficiency company dedicated to helping homeowners and businesses take full advantage of the EmPOWER Maryland program. We specialize in energy efficiency contracting and audits; serving small, medium, and large businesses throughout the DMV area. Our certified professionals guide clients through every step — from the initial audit to final installation — ensuring maximum savings and comfort.
1st Green Energy has been an authorized service provider for the local utility companies since the company’s inception in 2018. We hold our management team and our certified installers to the highest standards.

Joined Energy Programs
We joined the Pepco/Delmarva Power/BGE Small and Large Business Energy Savings Programs as an independent service provider
2019
#1 Contractor
We became the #1 independent contractor in the Pepco territory for lighting and refrigeration projects, completing nearly 1,000 installations and delivering over 7 million kWh in energy savings
2020
Rank #1 Again
Despite COVID-related shutdowns, we again ranked #1 in both the Pepco and Delmarva territories, completing over 1,000 projects and achieving an additional 7 million kWh in savings
2022
Potomac Edison Expansion
We joined the Potomac Edison Small and Large Business Energy Savings Programs and quickly became one of the program's leading service providers. That same year, we secured a contract with Prince George's County Public Schools within the Pepco territory. Leveraging our experienced team, we have successfully completed thousands of projects across the state of Maryland.
2023–24
#1 Service Provider
We achieved the #1 Service Provider ranking for BGE, undertaking large-scale projects such as the Maryland Jockey Club facilities in Baltimore and Laurel.
2026
Leading Provider
1st Green Energy is actively servicing the Small and Large Business Energy Savings Programs in Delaware through Energize Delaware and once again holds the position of leading service provider within the Pepco and Delmarva Power territories in Maryland. Our exciting growth continues as we enter the Virginia and Pennsylvania markets in Q3 of 2026.
